Saturday 1 September .
It's much warmer today. Is this because we are nearer the south?? We finished the flight to the Red Bull where we filled up with water, moored the boat and headed towards Tesco. We had been told it was minutes from the boat.  Rubbish, it was a walk and three bus stops.  We did our shopping trying to be careful as we only had two rucksacks and did not think we could take a trolley back to the boat.  We caught a bus back.

In the afternoon we caught the bus into Hanley which was an intersting experinece but nice going into the market.  When we lived in Staffordshire 40 years ago we often shopped in Hanley.  Caught the bus back.  Had a drink the in the Red Bull.
